BRUNEI’S Kevin Lim Chee Cong did the country proud after winning against Ezekial Talban by an unanimous decision in The Ring Fighting Championship: Golden Gloves Promotion in Singapore recently.
Kevin competed in the welterweight category.
In the other match, Muhammad Alizul Helmi @ Asde Nawang lost to Singapore’s Muhammad Hafiz by an unanimous decision. The Bruneian, however provided a good fight to Singapore’s three-time national champion, who has 45 fight experiences.
Aaron Lim Ming Lung and Abdul Haadi Sibah lost their matches by Referee Stop Contest. Aaron lost against Jared Hoon in the men’s lightweight category, while Abdul Haadi Sibah was beaten by Danish Azalieah.
The competition marked the first time Brunei boxers competed abroad since the Sukma in 2003.
