A Brunei Darussalam team participated in the Borneo Remote Control Boats Championship in Limbang, Sarawak held on November 23-24.
The championship was held at Taman Awam Seberkas Luagan Lengan, Kampung Tanjung Limbang.
The event was divided into five categories – Class ‘A’ Local Catamaran Open Engine, Class ‘D’ Mono/Deep Vee Local Open CC engine, Class Catanagaran Open CC Import Engine, Mono/Deep Vee Import Open CC Engine and Class FFA – Free for All Open CC.
Other participants hailed from Limbang, Miri, Sibu, Kuching, Labuan, Lawas, Kota Kinabalu and Thailand.
The Beever Bee team from Thailand won the championship trophy and RM2,000.
The Brunei team dominated Category ‘A’ Catamaran Local Open Engine – first place went to Zakaria Hassan followed by Boi Shiong and Salman.
In Category ‘D’ for the Mono Hull Local Open CC Engine, the first place went to Hirman bin Ladis followed by Sahrin bin Haji Sahdan. In category ‘E’ Mono Hull Import Open CC Engine, Haji Superto bin Sauji won third place.
Md Azizi Kamal won the Category ‘F’ Hull Import Open CC Engine followed by Zulkifli bin Rambli and Boi Shiong. Category F1 Hull Import Open CC Engine was won by Md Azizi Kamal followed by Runi Haji Shadan and Ikhsan. Category FFA was won by Kamal Nayan followed by Sarin bin Haji Shadan and Keegan.
