The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports will organise the 36th National Day Run 2020 at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital on March 29 in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 36th National Day.
Four categories will be contested namely the Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Veteran for 45 Years and above (born in the year 1975 and before) and Women’s Veteran for 45 Years and above (born in the year 1975 and before), with all running in a distance of 10km. Meanwhile, a Fun Run Open category will also take place which covers a distance of 4km.
The running event is open to all citizens and permanent residents of Brunei Darussalam as well as foreigners who hold purple/green identity card and are working residents in the country.
The registration fee is BND15 for each participant and each entrant is only allowed to join in one category.
Registration for the race will be open today until March 7 during working days only from 9-11.30am and 2-3.30pm. Registration forms can be downloaded from the official website of the Department of Youth and Sports at www.belia-sukan.gov.bn and can also be obtained from the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas, and the Department of Youth and Sports district branches.
Completed forms with the registration fee must be returned no later than March 7 before 3.30pm at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium or the Department of Youth and Sports district branches during working hours only.
Meanwhile, collection of T-shirts and bib numbers for the race will be on March 25 and 26 at 9am until 3.30pm at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas; Mumong Sports Complex; Tutong Sports Complex and Temburong Sports Complex.
