Copa Libertadores: River Plate v Boca Juniors moved to Bernabeu in Madrid




The second leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and River Plate has been moved more than 6,000 miles away to the Bernabeu in Madrid.

The Buenos Aires derby was postponed last weekend, following an attack on the Boca team bus by River Plate fans.

David de Gea: Man Utd activate one-year extension on keeper's contract

De Gea has won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League with Manchester United



Manchester United have triggered the one-year option on goalkeeper David de Gea's contract to avoid any uncertainty over his future heading into the January transfer window.

Spain international De Gea, 28, joined United from Atletico Madrid in 2011.

Olivier Giroud scored twice as Chelsea saw off PAOK Salonika to secure top spot in Europa League Group L.

The Frenchman curled home from Pedro's pass before burying a volley from Cesc Fabregas' lofted through ball to give the hosts a two-goal lead at the break.

A youthful Arsenal side scored three first-half goals to cruise past Vorskla Poltava in Kiev and secure top spot in Europa League Group E.

The match had initially been in doubt because of security concerns in Poltava, but Uefa intervened and moved the tie to Ukraine's capital.

Borussia Dortmund bus attack: Sergei Wenergold jailed

Wenergold had intended to make money out of the attack



A man who bombed the Borussia Dortmund football team bus in 2017 has been given 14 years for attempted murder.

Sergei Wenergold, a German of Russian origin, had hidden bombs packed with metal pins which went off as the bus passed a hedge on its way to a Champions League quarter-final match.
