Wayne Rooney will continue as England captain, with manager Sam Allardyce saying it was an "easy decision".

Rooney is England's record goalscorer and took on the armband from Steven Gerrard a year ago.

PSV sign Man City teen Zinchenko on loan

PSV have announced the season-long loan signing of Manchester City midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Ukraine international joined the Premier League club from Ufa last month, but has been allowed to join the Eredivisie champions.

Manchester City made it three wins out of three at the start of the Premier League season, after a brilliant start to the game helped them overcome West Ham 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

City flew out of the blocks on Sunday, with Raheem Sterling opening the scoring and Fernandinho heading in his first Premier League goal in almost a year.

Kane: I want to spend my whole career at Tottenham

Harry Kane believes Tottenham are in "great shape" for the future and believes he could spend his whole career at the club.

Kane netted 25 Premier League goals last season as Spurs finished third, but he is yet to open his account two matches into the new campaign.

Captain Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of Portugal's first squad since winning Euro 2016 as he continues his recovery from a knee injury.

The Real Madrid forward, 31, has not played since being substituted in the Euro 2016 final against France in July.
