Striker Romelu Lukaku decided to leave Everton after a "voodoo message" told him to join Chelsea, the Merseyside club's major shareholder has claimed.

The Belgium international, 24, eventually joined Manchester United for an initial £75m last summer.

Sergio Aguero scored a stoppage-time winner as Manchester City beat Bristol City 2-1 in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

Pre-match talk had focused on the quadruple chances of Pep Guardiola's men, but they had to come from behind at the Etihad Stadium despite the Catalan naming a strong side, Aguero coming off the bench to settle it.

FA Cup draw: United, Spurs at League Two



League Two side Yeovil will host Manchester United in the FA Cup for the second time in four seasons having been pitted against Jose Mourinho's men in the fourth round.

The Glovers were the lowest-ranked side in Monday night's draw and were handed a home clash with the 12-time winners, as they were in 2015 when United won 2-0 thanks to goals from Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria.

Borussia Dortmund bus bombing suspect 'did not intend to kill'

A man on trial over the bombing of the Borussia Dortmund football team bus last year has admitted he detonated explosives along its route.

Sergei W, 28, told a court in Dortmund that he had not intended to kill anyone. He is a German of Russian origin. His full name was not revealed.

Antoine Griezmann is set to leave Atletico Madrid in the summer with Manchester United and Barcelona potential destinations.



Manchester United face a battle to convince Antoine Griezmann to move to Old Trafford if they decide to reignite their interest this summer, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

United were interested in the France international last summer before switching their focus to signing a centre forward -- ultimately agreeing a £75 million deal with Everton for Romelu Lukaku.
