European champions Real Madrid fell to a surprise Champions League defeat by CSKA Moscow in Russia.

Toni Kroos gifted the hosts their goal in the second minute with a terrible backpass that was picked up by Nikola Vlasic, on loan from Everton, and he fired past Keylor Navas from just inside the penalty area.

After losing their first Group F match, Manchester City got off the mark at the second attempt in this season's Champions League



Manchester City recovered from an abysmal start to end a run of four consecutive Champions League defeats with a 2-1 victory at Hoffenheim.

Pep Guardiola's side, who suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Lyon in their Group F opener, fell behind inside 44 seconds on Tuesday.

David Manasseh: Gareth Bale's agent suspended by FA after trying to sign underage player

The player involved was not yet in the year of his 16th birthday when David Manasseh entered into a contract with him



A football agent has been suspended from all activity for three months and fined £50,000 by the FA after trying to sign an underage player.

David Manasseh is the managing director of Stellar - the agency that represents Gareth Bale, Kieran Trippier, Luke Shaw and Jordan Pickford.

Both Lingard and Herrera last played in United's Carabao Cup defeat by Derby



Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Ander Herrera will miss Manchester United's Champions League Group H match with Valencia on Tuesday due to injury.

Young captained United in Saturday's loss to West Ham while Herrera and Lingard did not feature.

UCL (2018-2019) Preview: Man City to decide between Aguero and Jesus for Hoffenheim

Sergio Aguero scored in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Brighton before being substituted in the 66th minute

 

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is fit to play against Hoffenheim in Tuesday's Champions League tie.

He limped off after scoring in their 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday but was OK to take part in training.
