Radja Nainggolan has made 29 appearances for his country



Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has announced his international retirement after being left out of Belgium's World Cup squad for this summer's tournament.

The 30-year-old helped Roma reach the Champions League semi-finals but did not make manager Roberto Martinez's initial 28-man squad for Russia 2018.

World Cup: Neymar named in Brazil's 23-man squad

Neymar, the world's most expensive player, has scored 53 goals for Brazil





Brazil have named injured Paris St-Germain forward Neymar in their 23-man squad for the World Cup in Russia.

Neymar, 26, had an operation on a fractured metatarsal in March and the Brazil team doctor said he would be out of action for three months.

Peru captain and record goalscorer Paolo Guerrero will miss this summer's World Cup after having a drugs ban increased from six to 14 months.

The 34-year-old tested positive for cocaine after the qualifier against Argentina on 6 October.

World Cup 2018: Russia gives hooliganism assurances

England fans were targeted by Russian supporters at a Euro 2016 match in Marseilles



Russian authorities have given their "assurance" fans will be safe from violence at the World Cup finals.

Officials have a "blacklist" of known hooligans and have banned anyone responsible for trouble at Euro 2016 from attending, the Foreign Affairs Committee heard.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's World Cup return ruled out by Sweden, he confirms




LA Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be coming out of international retirement to represent Sweden at this summer's World Cup, the nation's football association has announced.

Ibrahimovic, who retired from international competition after Euro 2016, represented Sweden in the World Cup in 2002 and in 2006.
