Andy Murray beats Philipp Kohlschreiber at Indian Wells

Andy Murray needed three sets to beat Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber and reach the last 16 at Indian Wells.

The Briton, seeded fourth, won 6-1 3-6 6-1 and will play France's Adrian Mannarino, the world number 38, in round four of the BNP Paribas Open.

Murray swept through the final set after Kohlschreiber had found his form to force a decider.

Heather Watson beats Agnieszka Radwanska in Indian Wells

British number one Heather Watson pulled off the biggest win of her career in Indian Wells, beating Agnieszka Radwanska in straight sets.

Watson, 22, who had never previously taken a set off the Polish world number eight, won 6-4 6-4 in the third round at the BNP Paribas Open in California.

It is the first time in 12 attempts that Watson, ranked 43, has beaten a player in the world's top 10.

Andy Murray: New coach Jonas Bjorkman wants to bring enjoyment

Jonas Bjorkman hopes to "bring energy and enjoyment" to Andy Murray's practice sessions and thinks the Briton has "some interesting years" ahead.

The 42-year-old former Wimbledon semi-finalist will join Murray's coaching team for a five-week trial this month.

"After that we will have time to discuss our roles and how we can approach things," said Bjorkman.

Heather Watson beats Julia Goerges in Indian Wells

Heather Watson reached the BNP Paribas Open second round at Indian Wells with a nervy win over German Julia Goerges.

Watson won the first set and served for the match at 5-3 in the second but lost five games in a row as Georges took the second set and led the decider.

But the British number one rallied to win 6-4 5-7 6-3 and book a second-round meeting with 29th seed Camila Giorgi.
