Arbitrary price hikes and retirement planning in the face of uncertainty were some of the issues raised by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam during an unscheduled visit to the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) on Monday.
“Lately, at a time with the COVID-19 situation in the country, there are complaints about the price increase for daily essentials such as meat, fish, onions, eggs and vegetables, particularly those in the lower income bracket,” said His Majesty.
